Zener Diode

As previously mentioned, a diode can only resist up to the breakdown voltage, Vz. If Vz is reached, then the current will rise very rapidly even at the slightest increase in voltage, i.e. the differential resistance is small - in the range from 10 to 100 ohms. The breakdown voltage or Zener voltage can be specified almost according to preference between 1.5 and 200 V by changing the doping strength when producing the diodes anywhere; manufacturers offer breakdown diodes with default values of the standard series, E24.
