Venus
Radio-Thermal Emissivity

Magellan press release image showing radio-thermal emission (emissivity). Red represents high emissivity and blue low. The image is centered at 12.5S,261E, southeast of Phoebe Regio, Venus and is 587 km on a side. The unnamed volcano is about 2 km high and shows low emissivity at the summit, which could indicate the presence of pyrrohtite or pyrite, minerals which may not be stable at lower altitudes.
