Voyager 2 wide-angle view of the Leverrier and Adams rings of Neptune. The inner Leverrier ring has a radius of 53,300 km and the outer Adams ring 62,932. The ring arcs are visible in the lower part of the Adams ring. The rings are faint because they are viewed in backscattered light (phase angle 15.5 degrees) 32 hours before Neptune closest approach. The satellite Larissa is visible in the upper right corner, streaked by its orbital motion. (Voyager 2, 11350.23)
