Thermal Capacity of Soil and WaterFor this experiment, you will need a thermometer, 2 vessels of the same size (plastic dishes are best), soil and water. Fill one vessel with soil, and the other one with the same amount of water. Place both vessels into the sun and leave them there for approx. 20 minutes.
Take the temperature of the water and the soil:
Water: 30, 9 0C soil: 36,8 0C Soil and water have heated up unequally! |
