First Order Differential Equation With Separable Variables
(3) In an equation with separable variables, dy/dt is a product of a function of t and a function of y. In particular, dy/dt = g(t) is a differential equation with separable variables in which h(y) is the constant 1. Similarly, dy/dt = h(y) is a differential equation with separable variables in which g(t) is the constant 1. An equation with separable variables can be solved by separating the variables and integrating both sides of the equation.
