Example 2: Parabolic Cylinder
Sketch the part of the cylinder z = x2 where 0 ≤ y ≤ 2, 0 ≤ z ≤ 1. This is a parabolic cylinder parallel to the y-axis, because y does not appear in the equation. The four steps are shown in Figure 11.1.13.
