Example 1
Given A = i - j + 2k and B = 2i - 2k, find A + B, A - B, |A|, and 3A. A + B = (1 + 2)i + (-1 + 0)j + (2 - 2)k = 3i - j. A - B = (1 - 2)i + (-1 - 0)j + (2 - (-2))k= -i - j + 4k. |A| = √(12 + (-1)2 + (22)) = √6 3A = 3i - 3j + 6k.
